From 2–6 September, 16 vocal improvisers from across Europe will gather between Bentivoglio and Ponticelli di Malalbergo, Bologna, Italy, for their third international artistic research residency.
Tracce nel Presente explores the relationship between collective vocal improvisation, movement, space and memory - bringing artistic research into dialogue with the territory and the stories held within it.
The residency will culminate on September 4 at the former Saletto Cemetery, with a public sharing of the work developed during these days together. The musical performance will be created in the moment through listening and the relationship between voices, bodies, movement and space.
Joining the 16 artists as special guests will be the Coro delle Mondine di Bentivoglio, celebrating their 50th anniversary this year and bringing a living voice of the territory’s history into this encounter.
An artistic research project by MuVola APS and The Well – Global Vocal Improvisation Network, with the patronage of the Municipality of Bentivoglio.
